Can we upload an excel file into Validis?

No - The Validis technology creates a temporary bridge between the general ledger application and the portal.  The tool only works in two scenarios:

1. The user who has access to the data in the accounting application clicks the button on Validis and uploads the data. Click here for data upload guides
2. The user provides a backup which the Validis Support team will process to make the data available on the portal. For example, a QuickBooks backup has a .QBB extension. Click here for a backup upload guide

If Client Managers find themselves in situation 1 or 2, they should set up the engagement as “internal” instead of external. They will then be able to upload the data or submit a backup from the Menu in the top-right hand corner.
