Overview
There are seven types of Validis user profiles, and each has different levels of access to features and functions across the Validis system.
Depending on your user profile, the options you see when you log on to Validis will change. For example, a Branding Manager will only see the Branding section of the Validis portal, with all other options hidden.
Profile Types:
- Portal Admin
- Client Manager
- Full Engagement Manager
- Relationship Manager
- Engagement Agent

- Client
Portal Admin
The profile is the "Master" administrator profile for a portal. This is typically the first user invited to join Validis. This profile can access all branding, customize notifications and strings, manage users, manage Engagements, and view overall usage statistics.
The Portal Admin is the only profile that can generate usage reports within Validis.
Client Manager
The Client Manager profile is ideally suited to users who need full management of all engagements and can view all client data in Validis.
A Client Manager can create and manage all Engagements (create, edit, disable, re-enable, and delete).
A Client Manager can also create new users, but once active they cannot edit, disable, or delete any user.
A Client Manager has access to all client data in the Validis system.
A Client Manager cannot access customization or branding features; this profile is focused on Client Management only.
Full Engagement Manager
This Profile allows the creation of Engagements and allows users to view all Engagements on the portal.
A Full Engagement Manager cannot create or view users (except for those invited during the creation of an Engagement), and they cannot access customization or branding features. This profile is focused on the creation and management of all Engagements across the Validis Client.
Relationship Manager
This Profile allows the creation of new Engagements. They can only view engagements they created or have been added to as a team member.
A Relationship Manager can only modify engagements that they have created or for which they are listed as the engagement owner.
A Relationship Manager cannot create or view users (except for those invited during the creation of an Engagement)
They can not access customization or branding features. This profile is focused on the creation and viewing of assigned Engagements only.
Engagement Agent
This Profile allows the user to view a list of Engagements in which they have been added to the team as an Engagement Agent. They cannot modify or view the membership details of the Engagement.
The Engagement Agent can only view client data on the engagement to which they are assigned. They do not have access to other areas of Validis.
Branding Manager
The Branding Manager profile is restricted to the modification of all brand/notification/string and Terms (EULA) customization features.
The Branding Manager has no access to Users, Engagements, or client data and cannot perform any Client management role.
The Branding Manager is responsible for setting up the visual look and feel of the Validis Client only.
Client
The Client is an end-user profile for uploading data to Validis. There must be at least one Client Contact on an Engagement.
This is the only profile type that can upload data to an Engagement.
A Client has no access to any administration features of Validis, and they cannot view any data.
