Cloning Engagements You Are Not the Key Contact
Cloning an Engagement
Users with the Relationship Manager role and above (user profile permissions list) have the option to clone an existing Engagement allowing for the quick creation of similar engagements while modifying key details such as the company name and external SME ID. This will save time and ensure consistency when managing multiple similar engagements.
On the Engagements dashboard, search for the engagement to be cloned.
Click the ellipsis on the right then select Clone.
After selecting the Clone option, a modal window will appear.
Cloning Your Own Engagements
For engagements where you are the key contact the modal will contain two fields:
- Company Name
- External SME ID
Cloning Engagements You Are Not the Key Contact
For engagements where you are not the key contact the modal will contain three fields:
- Company Name
- External SME ID
- Key contact
Saving the New Engagement
Once the details are updated and confirmed, click the Save button to finalize the creation of the cloned engagement. The newly created engagement will appear in the Engagements Dashboard.
The new engagement will carry over all the Company Name + CLONE, External SME ID, Key Contact, Additional Contacts, Team section, and additional settings configurations from the original engagement.
If an upload has been completed for the original engagement then the cloned engagement will have the same Accounting Package listed as the software and the status will be the default ‘Upload Pending’.
