Starting an Engagement (SME)
Within Validis, an Engagement is used to request data from your clients (also known as an SME). To begin the process you must invite a client to the Engagement - sending them a system email invitation allowing them to upload their data to the specified Engagement. Clients may be a member of multiple Engagements and can only view and upload to the Engagements that they have been invited to.
A Validis Admin user with significant access is able to represent the client themselves if they have the data on their computer and wish to perform the upload. Validis Admin users are only able to upload data to Engagements they have been assigned to.
