The application will now connect to your Accounting Package, the app is quite small and will be automatically removed from your desktop after completing the share process.
Validis Connect for Abila
Once installed, the application will automatically launch and attempt to locate your Abila installation. By default, Abila requires the current Windows user to have read-write access to the SQL Server instance.
After locating the available datasets, you will be prompted to enter the connection details. This includes the SQL Server Instance Name, User Login, and Password. The SQL Server Instance is where the company database is stored. The SQL Server Instance and Instance Name will be auto-populated based on the available datasets. If the information is not auto-populated, enter the value manually.
If you have multiple SQL Server Instances, select the appropriate instance from the drop-down menu.
Verify the SQL Server Instance Name is the same as where your company data is stored.
Enter the User Login and Password for your company data then click Next.
Once the authentication is successful you can select your Company Database from the list of databases stored on the SQL Server Instance. If your company does not appear in the list please enter the database name manually and press Next.
The Validis Connect data extraction process will begin and progress will be displayed on the screen. Depending on the size of your database and the number of entries it contains, this process may take a few minutes. Once all data has been extracted the data is then compressed, encrypted, and transmitted securely to the Validis central server.
You can continue with other tasks whilst the extraction takes place.
Do not close the Validis Connect window or interrupt the extraction process.
When the share completes the success message is presented.
Click Close to exit Validis Connect. At this point, there is nothing more to do. Your Engagement Manager or Client Manager will be notified by email that you have submitted a new share.
Your shared data is now being queued for processing in the Validis central system. You can switch off your desktop and disconnect from the network at this point if you wish.
You can view your share progress in the Validis Portal (to see the current status you may need to refresh your browser). The status will change from Processing to Completed.
