Overview
Before attempting to share your accounts using Validis Connect, please ensure the following:
- You have read THIS article
- The Validis Connect Prerequisites for user permissions are in place on your machine.
You can access Acumatica in your browser from the system you’re using for the upload.
You know the Login Name for your Acumatica tenant.
Your user account has Admin permissions to access accounting data in Acumatica.
Your user has the “ODatav4 User” role (see below)
You may need to ask your IT department for some of the above information.
Locating the Acumatica Tenant Login Name
The Login Name is a required field when uploading your Acumatica data. This is because it's used to locate your specific company database.
To find the Tenant Login Name, first log in to Acumatica.
Go to System Management.
Click System Maintenance, then select Tenants.
Copy the Login Name for the tenant containing the company data you want to upload. (In this example, it's "ValidisDemo")
Starting the Acumatica Upload
First, sign in to your Validis portal.
Select the Engagement you want to upload data for.
Click the Upload button. This will present a list of accounting packages.
Select Acumatica when prompted to choose your accounting package. You can use the search bar to help locate your package faster.
Select Next. You will be prompted to download our extraction tool, Validis Connect (vClient.exe is the file name)
Click Download to begin the vClient.exe installation process.
If vClient doesn't automatically open, please launch it manually from your Downloads folder.
Validis Connect for Acumatica
Once the Validis Connect application loads, you will be asked to enter your Acumatica details. This is what allows us to find the specific company database you're uploading.

URL - the top-level domain where you access Acumatica
For example, https://companyname.acumatica.com
Username - your Acumatica admin username
Password - your Acumatica admin password
Tenant - the Login Name for the Tenant containing the company data you wish to upload
Click Next once you've added all the required information.
In the Organisation drop-down, select the company that you wish to upload.
Once the progress bar completes, you will receive an Upload Completed message. You can then close the Validis application and continue with other tasks.
You can track your upload progress in the Validis Portal (you might need to refresh your browser to see updates). The status will change from Loading to Processing, then to Completed.
