How to change the support details your users see in the portal
Everyone using your portal can open a help window from the help icon in the header, wherever they are in the portal.
It holds the ways you want your users to reach you: a link to your FAQs, an email address, and a phone number if you offer one. Everything in it, including the title, is yours to set from the Support page in Portal Settings. Changes take effect immediately for everyone on your portal.
Please note
You need the appropriate permissions to reach Portal Settings.
Finding the Support settings
Select your user account at the top right of the portal, then select Settings. In the menu on the left, under Portal Settings, select Support.
What each setting controls
Every setting on the page maps to something your users see. Fields marked with an asterisk are required.
| Setting | Where it appears |
|---|---|
| Modal Title | The heading at the top of the window. |
| Email Support | Email Title and Email Description head the section, and Email Address is the address shown, with a copy icon beside it so users can copy it in one click. |
| FAQ's | FAQ Title heads the section, FAQ Link Text is the wording users click, and FAQ Link URL is where it takes them. The URL is yours to choose, so it can point to your own help pages rather than ours. |
| Phone Support | Off unless you switch it on. Covered further down this article. |
Changing a value
Each row is one setting, and each column is one of the regions your portal serves. Select the pencil icon in the Action column on the row you want to change.
Offering phone support
Phone support is off by default, and while it is off, the help window shows only your FAQs and email address. Tick Phone Support to switch it on, and a further set of rows appears for you to complete.
Set a Phone Title and Phone Description to explain when users should ring rather than write, and add a Phone Number.
