How to generate and download the Working Papers pack
The Working Papers pack is a set of Excel reports covering the whole engagement, generated on demand from the Exports page and downloaded together as a single .zip file. Once generated it stays listed there, so you or a colleague can download it again later without generating it a second time.
Step 1
Open Exports
Select Exports in the left-hand menu, then make sure you are on the Standard Reporting Packs tab. Working Papers is the first section.
Step 2
Choose your period and generate
Choose the period you want from the dropdown, then select Generate. A Download in progress message confirms the pack is being prepared and will download automatically when it is ready. You can close that message; it will not affect the download.
If your browser asks whether to allow multiple file downloads, select Allow. The pack arrives as a .zip file in your browser's default download location.
What the pack contains
The .zip file holds a separate Excel report for each of the following:
- AP Report
- AR Report
- Cash Report
- Equity Report
- Financial Reports
- Inventory Report
- Investments Report
- LTD Report
- NPO Report
- Other Assets Report
- Property Report
- Tax Report
Each file is named after the report, the engagement, and the period, for example AP-Report_Clothing-Retailers-May23.
Downloading a pack again later
Every pack you generate is listed underneath, with its Year, Period, and Generation Date. In the Actions column, you can download that pack again, or regenerate it if the underlying data has changed.
Previously generated packs, with download and regenerate options. Because the list is kept against the engagement, anyone else working on it can download a pack you have already generated, rather than generating it again.
