Overview
When attempting an upload the client may be presented with the below error. This occurs when the user can not connect to our server during the upload. (Connection may be lost or blocked)
To resolve the error, please have the client whitelist the appropriate URL for their respective environment. Once whitelisted reattempt the upload.
Europe:
|
http://vclient-provisioner-uk-validis.azurewebsites.net/ http://vclient-provisioner-eu-validis.azurewebsites.net/ |
North America:
|
http://vclient-provisioner-us-validis.azurewebsites.net/ http://vclient-provisioner-us2-validis.azurewebsites.net/ http://vclient-provisioner-ca-validis.azurewebsites.net/ http://vclient-provisioner-ca2-validis.azurewebsites.net/ |
Australia: | https://vclient-provisioner-au-validis.azurewebsites.net/ |
Singapore: | https://vclient-provisioner-sg-validis.azurewebsites.net/ |
If the client is still experiencing the error after whitelisting the URL, have them (or their IT team) run the following command in Windows PowerShell.
Command:
Resolve-DnsName -Name vali{your region}strg.blob.core.windows.net
Please note:
- Ensure the command is run on the machine the upload was attempted on
- The region variable will be the environment the client attempted the upload on
Region Variable:
Europe - eu, uk
North America - us, us2, ca, ca2
Australia - au
Singapore - sg
If the client sees the below message after running the command, have them add a conditional forward for vali{your region}strg.blob.core.windows.net
to forward to other DNS servers, so that their Internal DNS servers do not block the response.
Please note the above is not the expected response, which should look closer to:
Server: xxx.xx.x.xx
Address: xxx.xx.x.xx#xx
Non-authoritative answer:
