When uploading data to Validis, each upload moves through a series of statuses that reflect its current stage in the process. This guide explains what each status means and what actions, if any, are required.
Upload Pending or Ready to Share
What it means:
The engagement is waiting to be populated by an upload. This means no data has been uploaded yet.
What to do:
The user assigned to the engagement needs to upload data using either the Connect or Upload & Share method.
Loading
What it means:
This status appears during the extraction from an accounting package. It indicates that the user is currently extracting data from their accounting software.
What to do:
No action is required. This status will update automatically once the extraction is complete.
Processing
What it means:
This status appears when data has been successfully extracted or uploaded into Validis and is undergoing standardisation.
What to do:
No action is required unless the status remains for an extended period.
Aborted
What it means:
This status appears when an upload in Loading status has been interrupted. This is most commonly caused by:
- Incorrect setup permissions for a connector
- API limits being reached for the accounting package provider
What to do:
Review connector permissions or API usage. If the issue persists, contact Validis Support.
Failed
What it means:
This status appears if an upload that is being processed has failed. Although rare, this may occur if there was an issue processing the data.
What to do:
We recommend reaching out directly to Validis Support for assistance.
Complete
What it means:
This status appears when an upload has successfully completed. The data is now ready for review by the relationship or audit manager.
What to do:
No further action is required.
Under Review
What it means:
This status appears when an upload is undergoing a review for data completeness. This ensures the processed data is accurate and is typically seen with newly released connectors.
What to do:
No action is required. Reviews are usually completed within 48 hours.
Archived
What it means:
This status appears in reports when a specific upload for an engagement is no longer available because it has been superseded by a more recent upload for that engagement.
What to do:
No action is required.
