When using Upload & Share, credit notes may not appear in the Invoices and Credit Notes in Transit section as expected. This does not mean the credit notes are missing from the data.
Why are credit notes not appearing?
With Upload & Share:
- Credit notes may be classified as payments depending on how they are exported from the accounting package
- In some cases, credit notes may not appear separately in the Invoices and Credit Notes in Transit view
How should credit notes be handled?
If credit notes are not visible in transit:
- Use a Reconciling Item to account for them manually
- Add the credit notes together as a single bulk (net) amount
This allows the reconciliation to balance correctly even when individual credit notes are not listed.
