Does the vClient application need to be installed?

Desktop accounting packages

If you are using a desktop accounting package, you must install the vClient application for the data extraction to take place.

For desktop packages:

The accounting software is installed locally on a computer
Data extraction runs from that machine
The vClient application is required to securely extract and share data with Validis

Please note:
Once the upload has completed successfully, the vClient application will automatically uninstall from the machine.

Cloud‑based accounting packages

If you are using a cloud‑based accounting package, you do not need to install the vClient application.

For cloud‑based packages:

Validis connects directly to the accounting package server
No local software download or installation is required
Data is shared using a direct cloud connector

Key Points to Remember
