Getting Started with APIs
Validis has the option to use APIs, if you would like to add this feature, speak to your Validis representative to have this added to your Validis Portal. Your Validis representative can provide you with API documentation that details the current list of endpoints that are available to Validis API users.
Configuration
To access the API settings, select your user account at the top right-hand side and click on Settings.
On the left-hand side, select Integrations, then API, and click 'Activate API Access'.
When Validis APIs are enabled on your Validis portal, users with the appropriate permissions will be able to set up APIs in the System Configuration section of Validis Admin.
The System Configuration section allows you to do the following:
- Enable API keys – Once enabled you will be given 2 API keys, Primary and Secondary. Both keys will give you access to the Validis APIs and allows you to change them independently of each other.
- API Refresh button – The refresh button can be used to generate a new API key. Once changed, the old key will be immediately disabled.
